Instead, developer TaleWorlds Entertainment has some very good news this morning, confirming that the exact opposite is happening: Bannerlord is coming out early!
The Early Access version of Mount & Blade 2 is now officially slated to hit Steam on March 30. Since so many people are currently out of work and stuck at home, developer TaleWorlds will launch the game at 10% off its base price. You can get an extra 10% off that price if you digitally own a previous Mount & Blade title.
Though Mount & Blade 2 won’t be complete when it launches, here’s what we know will be available on March 30:
Custom Battle mode (singleplayer) Campaign mode (singleplayer) Skirmish mode (multiplayer) Captain mode (multiplayer) Team Deathmatch mode (multiplayer) Siege mode (multiplayer)
The Campaign mode will be a departure from the series and will notably feature a more structured approach than typical Mount & Blade sandbox gameplay. Additionally, private servers for multiplayer won’t be available until closer to the game’s full launch. There’s currently no word on when it will exit Early Access.
